The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing emerging technologies, implementing robust systems, developing custom integration adapters, and providing technical expertise to support pre-sales activities.

The Senior System Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, and customer success to deliver comprehensive technical solutions that drive business value.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive technology assessments and evaluations to identify optimal solutions for complex business requirements, analyzing emerging technologies, evaluating vendor solutions, and providing detailed technical recommendations that align with organizational objectives and architectural standards 
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level system infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability while managing server configurations, network services, and system monitoring to support critical business operations 
  • Architect and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, designing scalable and resilient cloud architectures, managing cloud resources, implementing infrastructure as code, and optimizing cloud costs while ensuring security and compliance requirements 
  • Develop custom integration adapters and middleware solutions using full-stack technologies including Python, C, Angular, JavaScript, and other applicable programming languages, creating robust APIs, data transformation services, and system connectors that enable seamless integration between diverse systems 
  • Implement and customize open source systems and platforms to meet specific business requirements, evaluating open source solutions, performing customizations and extensions, managing open source licensing compliance, and contributing to open source communities when appropriate 
  • Provide technical expertise and support for pre-sales activities including solution design, technical presentations, proof-of-concept development, and customer technical consultations, working closely with sales teams to identify customer requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions 
  • Design and develop full-stack web applications and services using modern development frameworks and technologies, implementing responsive user interfaces, robust backend services, and comprehensive testing strategies to deliver high-quality software solutions 
  • Manage and optimize database systems including design, implementation, performance tuning, and maintenance of both relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance for application and analytical workloads 
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions across infrastructure and applications, utilizing modern observability tools and practices to ensure proactive identification and resolution of performance issues and system anomalies 
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes, implementing infrastructure as code, and establishing best practices for continuous integration and delivery across multiple environments 
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including system architecture diagrams, implementation guides, operational procedures, and troubleshooting documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and support operational excellence 
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on system administration and development best practices, fostering knowledge sharing and contributing to the professional development of the broader technology team

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline is mandatory. Advanced degrees in computer science, engineering, or related fields are highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage 
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in system administration, software development, or hybrid technical roles with demonstrated expertise in both infrastructure management and software development in enterprise environments 
  • Solid system administration experience is required across both Windows Server and Linux environments, including server management, network configuration, security implementation, and performance optimization with hands-on experience in enterprise-level deployments 
  • Comprehensive cloud infrastructure experience is essential, with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform including virtual machine management, container orchestration, serverless computing, and cloud-native architecture implementation 
  • Strong programming and development experience is mandatory, with proficiency in Python, C programming,  JavaScript, and other modern full-stack technologies, including experience with web development, API design, and database integration 
  • Open-source systems experience is highly preferred, including implementation, customization, and maintenance of open source platforms such as Linux distributions, Apache/Nginx web servers, PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, Docker containers, and Kubernetes orchestration 
  • Integration and middleware development experience is valuable, including experience with API development, message queuing systems, data transformation tools, and enterprise service bus architectures for connecting diverse systems and applications 
  • Database administration experience is important, including hands-on experience with both relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch) with understanding of database design, optimization, and maintenance 
  • DevOps and automation experience is highly desirable, including experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible), containerization technologies, and automated deployment and monitoring solutions 
  • Pre-sales and customer-facing experience is considered an advantage, demonstrating ability to understand customer requirements, present technical solutions, and support sales processes through technical expertise and communication skills 
  • Professional certifications are strongly preferred, including Microsoft Azure certifications, Google Cloud Platform certifications, Linux certifications (RHCE, LPIC), and programming certifications that validate technical expertise 
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent verbal and written communication skills required for customer interactions, technical documentation, and collaboration with international teams and stakeholders
