About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Network and Security Engineer to fulfill a dual-function role that combines customer-facing responsibilities with our turn-key IT solutions provider subsidiary and internal network and security administration for the corporate group. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for customer-facing engagements, conducting comprehensive network assessments for prospective clients, analyzing current infrastructure, identifying security vulnerabilities, and developing detailed proposals for network and security improvements 
  • Lead technical discovery sessions, conduct on-site network audits, and present findings and recommendations to client leadership teams, requiring the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build trust through demonstrated expertise and professionalism 
  • Design and deploy enterprise-grade network and security solutions for external clients, including configuring firewalls, implementing VPN solutions, setting up wireless networks, and establishing monitoring and management systems while ensuring compliance with industry best practices and security standards 
  • Manage the complete corporate group’s network infrastructure including maintaining and optimizing LAN and WAN connections across multiple locations, ensuring high availability and performance of network services, and implementing redundancy and disaster recovery solutions 
  • Implement and manage comprehensive security controls across the organization including configuring and maintaining firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint protection solutions, and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms 
  • Design and implement enterprise wireless solutions that provide secure, high-performance connectivity across corporate facilities, including conducting site surveys, optimizing access point placement, implementing proper security controls, and ensuring regulatory compliance 
  • Manage data center networking including core switching and routing infrastructure, implementing network segmentation and access controls, and ensuring optimal performance of critical business applications with understanding of data center design principles including redundancy and scalability 
  • Administer cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Amazon Web Services, designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions, configuring cloud networking services, and ensuring secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud resources 
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize various security technologies including vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools, security orchestration platforms, and threat intelligence systems, interpreting security reports, prioritizing remediation efforts, and implementing automated security responses 
  • Maintain comprehensive network diagrams, security policies, and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements including Qatar NIA, QCF, ISO 27001, NIST frameworks, and local data protection regulations 
  • Provide incident response capabilities for security incidents, network outages, and performance issues, including after-hours support availability and coordination of response efforts across multiple teams and stakeholders

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related technical discipline is mandatory.  
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in network and security engineering roles with demonstrated expertise in enterprise-level infrastructure design, implementation, and management, including both customer-facing and internal infrastructure responsibilities with proven track record of successful project delivery 
  • Professional certifications in networking are required, with preference for advanced certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent vendor certifications from Juniper, Arista, or other major networking vendors. Multiple networking certifications demonstrating breadth of knowledge will be highly valued 
  • Security certifications are mandatory, with strong preference for advanced certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC). Additional specialized security certifications will be considered advantageous 
  • Extensive hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, and wireless networking technologies is required, including proficiency with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies (VLANs, STP, LACP), and network services (DHCP, DNS, NTP). Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) is highly desirable 
  • Data center networking experience is essential, including familiarity with data center design principles, high-availability architectures, performance optimization techniques, and data center technologies such as fabric switching, load balancing, and storage networking 
  • Cloud computing platform experience is mandatory, with hands-on expertise in at least two of the three major platforms: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Amazon Web Services. Relevant cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are strongly preferred 
  • Security tools and practices experience must include hands-on work with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), intrusion detection and prevention systems, vulnerability assessment tools, and security information and event management platforms. Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls is required 
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent verbal and written communication skills required for client interactions, technical documentation, and presentations. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with international clients and stakeholders. Additional language skills, particularly Arabic, will be considered an asset 
  • Experience in consulting or managed services environments is highly preferred, demonstrating the ability to work with multiple clients, manage competing priorities, and deliver consistent quality across diverse technical environments with understanding of service level agreements and client relationship management
